it's a wonderful life.
Every now and then you get a little gift. Since Christmas time is here and I’m far from the vast majority of my friends and all of my family, I am grateful for the gifts that I get. I got one today. You remember Pete, right? Well Pete, new friend Zara, and I went to a movie today. Not just any movie, mind you. We went to The Electric, the oldest cinema in the UK. Someone said that it...

a castle trip.
Hello. So. I’m in England now and here is something that I’ve learned: If you know that the sidewalk is iced over and you need to walk to the train station, Converse All-Stars are a bad choice. We are being merry and bright around here by doing lots of fun things. The Thompson’s, the Miller’s and myself loaded up this morning to head off into the country. Two hours we...

Saying Goodbye to Nana.
From Update 553.
Last night, I fell asleep at about 9:45. I slept for a really long time. I woke and I felt absolutely magical. I felt as if I could leap tall buildings… and it was a good thing too because I had quite the day. I started off with breakfast with good ole’ Dean Collins. What a guy. I then went to visit my grandmother one last time. I get the sense that I might...

a couple of finals..
Today marked my final time at Octane and my final time at Manuel’s whilst being a permanent resident of the United States (at least for a good, long while). These are two of the places that I love the most in the grand city that is Atlanta, GA— and I got to experience both of those places with people that I love fiercely.
To all of the people who showed up to make it so much fun:...
Tonight! Say Goodbye!
I’ll be at Manuel’s Tavern tonight at 8:30 onward to say goodbye to whomever might happen by.
Manuel’s is at the corner of Highland and North Avenues, Atlanta, GA.
Green Street Hooligans.
For the past several years, whenever I would tell someone that I was moving to England, often they would respond with, “Have you seen the movie ‘Green Street Hooligans’”? I would always sigh and respond with the “Yeah, I’ve heard.” And they’d usually say, “Dude. You’ve got to see it.”
Well, Yesterday I put my Netflix account on...
Visa Approved!
My visa is on the way! I’ll be leaving sometime next week. No plans have been finalized because I literally just got the email about 10 minutes ago, I literally just got off the phone with Naomi (my boss,) and I literally just emailed my team (who is apparently on a retreat). But, yeah. Sometime next week I’ll be moving away to England. More to come. Whew.

Thankful.
Good Evening and Happy Thanksgiving Eve… I am thankful for…. I am thankful that I have this little laptop that I can pound out these little writings, even if the “u” key is having some problems all of a sudden. Even if the “m” is not mashing as it should. I am thankful for people who support Globalscope. People who say that they believe in this work, or they, at...

reflections on things that are wild.
There is this story in the bible about a boy who thinks he is a man, so he takes all of the money that his dad was saving up for him to receive on the day that he died and thus ran to a far off location, someplace like Atlantic City or Los Vegas or Gatlinburg, TN. Out here, “Nobody knows me at all”, he said to himself. And so he went about being the master of his own world. It was not...
